Wolfgang Schwabe learnt to play qin with the Qin master Ge Hancong (\u845b\u701a\u8070) in Taiwan. After random performances with LTK, a Taiwanese punk band, in the late nineties, he has been regularly performing in Taipei and Berlin playing Echtzeit Musik. In 2018 the CD \u201c180818\u201d with Lin Hui-Chun was released (https:\/\/huichunlin.bandcamp.com\/album\/180818<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is the co-founder of the \u201cInternational Conference on Guqin, Aesthetics and Humanism\u201d and has published numerous articles on Qin aesthetics. He holds a PhD in Chinese Studies from the Free University of Berlin and a PhD in Philosophy from the National Taiwan University. His translation of the \u201cAspects of the Qin between Mountains and Streams\u201d (\u8c3f\u5c71\u7434\u6cc1) is to be published in winter 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his music he draws on the aesthetics and techniques of the classical qin to confront a contemporary music scene overloaded with dogma. The rich tradition of the qin offers multiple perspectives to connect to non-Western and Western traditions to weave new patterns and create new sounds. \uff5c\u8c3f\u5c71\u884c\u65c5\uff5c\u70ba\u4e00\u5834\u5076\u7136\u7684\u4ea4\u96c6\u5be6\u9a57\uff0c\u4e32\u9023\u4e86\u591a\u65b9\u9818\u57df\u7684\u5de5\u4f5c\u8005\uff0c\u5728\u885d\u64ca\u8207\u77db\u76fe\u7684\u4e16\u9053\u4e4b\u9593\uff0c\u671f\u4ee5\u6e05\u3001\u975c\u3001\u9060\u3001\u53e4\u7684\u9038\u8da3\u4f86\u6ecb\u6f64\u5167\u5fc3\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n
