Zu den Musikern
Dasom Baek ist eine koreanische K\u00fcnstlerin f\u00fcr traditionelle Instrumente und zeitgen\u00f6ssische K\u00fcnstlerin, die sich auf Daegeum und Sogeum (Bambusfl\u00f6ten) spezialisiert hat. Sie ist zertifizierte Tr\u00e4gerin des nationalen immateriellen Kulturerbes Nr. 45: Daegeum Sanjo.
Sie ver\u00f6ffentlichte ihr erstes Soloalbum, “\ubb34: Nothingness\u201e im Jahr 2020, gefolgt von ihrem zweiten Album \u201cMirror City” im Jahr 2023. Ihre internationale Pr\u00e4senz umfasst Auftritte bei gro\u00dfen Festivals wie SXSW (USA, 2021 & 2024), Rewire Festival (Niederlande, 2022), Freespace Jazz Festival (Hongkong), Imaterial Festival (Portugal), CINARS Biennale (Kanada) und dem ACC World Music Festival (Gwangju, Korea).
Dasom konzentriert sich auf die Neuinterpretation der einzigartigen kulturellen und traditionellen Musik Koreas in einem zeitgen\u00f6ssischen Kontext, indem sie die Essenz des klassischen Klangs mit modernen Spieltechniken verbindet. Wolfgang Schwabe erlernte das Qin-Spiel bei dem Qin-Meister Ge Hancong (\u845b\u701a\u8070) in Taiwan. Nach gelegentlichen Auftritten mit LTK, einer taiwanesischen Punkband, in den sp\u00e4ten Neunzigern, tritt er seither regelm\u00e4\u00dfig in Taipeh und Berlin mit Echtzeit Musik auf. 2018 wurde die CD \u201e180818\u201c mit Lin Hui-Chun ver\u00f6ffentlicht (https:\/\/huichunlin.bandcamp.com\/album\/180818<\/a>). Er ist Mitbegr\u00fcnder der \u201eInternational Conference on Guqin, Aesthetics and Humanism\u201c und hat zahlreiche Artikel zur Qin-\u00c4sthetik ver\u00f6ffentlicht. Er promovierte in Sinologie an der Freien Universit\u00e4t Berlin und in Philosophie an der National Taiwan University. Seine \u00dcbersetzung der \u201eAspekte des Qin zwischen Bergen und B\u00e4chen\u201c (\u6eaa\u5c71\u7434\u6cc1) wird 2026 bei Matthes &Seitz erscheinen. Im Jahr 2024 gr\u00fcndete er zusammen mit Lilia Keller den \u201eBerliner Salon f\u00fcr ostasiatische Kultur\u201c, der regelm\u00e4\u00dfig Veranstaltungen zu chinesischer Musik, \u00c4sthetik und Tee durchf\u00fchrt. Er ist Gr\u00fcnder der \u201eEurop\u00e4ischen Akademie f\u00fcr chinesische Zivilisation\u201c, ein Projekt, das sich noch im Aufbau befindet. This afternoon we will play genres such as ritual music, literati music, shamanistic music, folk music, Daoist music and introduce the ideas and techniques behind them. Focus will be put on the relevance of these genres for contemporary music. Free improvisation and an open discussion will round up the afternoon. At the beginning of the event some tea will be served.<\/p>\n\n\n\n About the muscians: Wolfgang Schwabe learnt to play qin with the Qin master Ge Hancong (\u845b\u701a\u8070) in Taiwan. After random performances with LTK, a Taiwanese punk band in the late nineties, he has been regularly performing in Taipei and Berlin playing Echtzeit Musik. In 2018 the CD \u201c180818\u201d with Lin Hui-Chun was released (https:\/\/huichunlin.bandcamp.com\/album\/180818<\/a>). He is the co-founder of the \u201cInternational Conference on Guqin, Aesthetics and Humanism\u201d and has published numerous articles on Qin aesthetics. He holds a PhD in Chinese Studies from the Free University of Berlin and a PhD in Philosophy from the National Taiwan University. His translation of the \u201cAspects of the Qin between Mountains and Streams\u201d (\u6eaa\u5c71\u7434\u6cc1) is to be published in 2026. In 2024 he founded together with Lilia Keller the \u201cBerliner Salon f\u00fcr ostasiatische Kultur\u201d (@berlinsck.bsky.social\u202c) which regularly holds events on Chinese music, aesthetics and tea.
